Description
Traditionally handwoven using local sustainable willow, the potato skib had deep historical links to rural farm living in Ireland. It was used to strain and serve potatoes after boiling over the fire, and often seen hanging on the outside wall next to the door to dry out. In the modern day, skibs make dramatic pieces of wall art that connect to the past. The medium skib is 53cm (21") in diameter and 8cm (3") in height; smaller sizes are available to order on request.
